Infrastructure development is a prerequisite for any further development, like roads or the erection of properties. Orania Ontwikkelingsmaatskappy established Groeikrag to pay attention to this. Groeikrag focuses primarily on civil works like water supply, sewage and the provision of digital services to new stands. All these developments take place in accordance with and in the light of Orania’s Spatial Development Framework and Integrated Development Plan.  

In order to actively address the demand for serviced stands, Groeikrag envisaged a total of eight “pipeline projects” for the next year or two. According to preliminary planning there should be almost 400 residential and 40 commercial stands serviced and placed on the market. Stand sizes vary from small, affordable stands at Vergelegen to bigger and more exclusive stands in an eco estate. A further 14 industrial and 27 mixed-use stands are also envisaged.
